Witch Hazel: Tips for Hair & Skin:

Witch Hazel is an astringent produced from the leaves and bark of the North American Witch Hazel shrub (Hamamelis virginiana), which grows naturally from Nova Scotia west to Ontario, Canada and south to Florida, and Texas in the United States.

Cleaning Your Hair with Witch Hazel

Add 1-ounce of witch hazel to an 8- or 10-ounce bottle of your favorite conditioner.

  • Apply the conditioner to your hair.
  • Massage the conditioner through your hair with your fingers or use a wide toothed comb to gently straighten hair and remove tangles.
  • Leave the conditioner in your hair for 10-15 minutes.
  • Rinse your hair thoroughly with cool water and style.

Another method of using witch hazel in your cleaning routine is to massage your scalp with it.

  • Soak the witch hazel on a cotton ball or cotton cloth.
  • Gently massage the witch hazel onto your scalp.
  • Follow this cleaning with shampoo and conditioner.

Your scalp will feel super clean!

Witch Hazel as a Facial Toner

Witch hazel is great to use as a facial toner.

  • Dab a little of the witch hazel on a cotton ball.
  • Gently wipe the witch hazel over your skin.

Your skin will feel fantastically fresh!
